Who we are

Information you give us
When you send a quote request, we collect what you enter in the form: your name, phone number, email address, ZIP code, the type of fireplace or appliance you have, the services you need, and any message you write. We also record which page you sent the form from and, if you arrived from an ad or a tagged link, where you came from.
We use this information to:
- respond to your request and give you a quote
- schedule, confirm and remind you of appointments
- provide the service you asked for and keep a record of the work
- understand which of our advertising brings in requests
How we contact you
By sending a quote request, you agree that Doctor Flue may contact you by phone, text message or email at the numbers and address you provide, about your request and your appointments. For example, we contact you by email, text message or phone at least three days before a scheduled visit to confirm your appointment time.
Text messages. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency depends on your requests and appointments. Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. We do not send marketing text messages unless you have agreed to receive them. We do not share or sell your mobile number or text-messaging consent to third parties for their marketing.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, ours records how visitors use it, so we can see which pages help people and which ads bring them to us.
- Analytics. Google Analytics records pages viewed, how visitors found the site, and general device and location information. Microsoft Clarity records clicks and scrolling to show us how the site is used.
- Advertising. Google Ads tells us when a visit from one of our ads leads to a call or a quote request, and may use cookies to show our ads to people who have visited our site.
- Call tracking. Phone numbers on the site may be tracking numbers from CallRail, which record the source of a call (for example, a Google search or an ad), the caller’s phone number, and the time and length of the call. Calls may be recorded for quality and training.
- Lead source. If you arrive from an ad or a tagged link, a cookie on your browser remembers that source for 90 days and is sent with any quote request you make.
- Security and spam protection. Cloudflare protects the site and checks form submissions to block automated spam.
- Videos. Videos on our Testimonials page load from YouTube only when you press play.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on and adjust ad personalization in your Google account. The site still works without cookies.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- with the companies that help us run this website and our business: our web host, our email delivery service (Postmark), our website and marketing agency, and the analytics, advertising and call-tracking services listed above, each only for the work they do for us
- when the law requires it, or to protect our customers, our employees or our business
How long we keep information
We keep quote requests and customer records for as long as we need them to serve you, keep our business records and meet our legal and tax obligations. After that, we delete them securely.
Your choices
To see, correct or delete the information you sent us, or to stop hearing from us, call or email our office and we will take care of it. To stop text messages, reply STOP.
Children
This website is for adults arranging service for their homes. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Links to other websites
Our site links to manufacturers, industry groups and other websites. Their privacy practices are their own; this policy covers doctorflue.com only.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page with its date.
