A wood stove is classic: warm, inviting and practical. Today’s wood stoves also give you precise heat control and burn cleaner than ever before.
Wood stoves are an excellent heating alternative. When you use a wood stove for zone heating (heating only the areas you use most), you cut heating costs and energy use.
EPA Certified Wood Stoves

We install EPA certified, high-efficiency freestanding wood stoves. They are rated to heat an entire household, so you can use one as your sole source of heat during the heating season and cut your gas, propane or electric bills.
These stoves use secondary combustion. Preheated air flows through stainless steel tubes in the firebox and reburns most of the smoke and gases that would otherwise line your flue as creosote or leave as smoke. That lowers the risk of a chimney fire and puts less smoke into the air.
An efficient stove burns less wood for the same heat, which saves you time cutting and hauling wood, or money if you buy it. Clearance-reducing heat shields help protect your home, and you can add a blower to circulate more heat.

Installation, Sweeping & Safe Burning
A wood stove needs a properly sized chimney or stove pipe and safe clearances to walls and floors. We plan both as part of your installation.
We also explain which fuel your stove is built for and how to burn it safely and efficiently. The EPA covers the same advice at www.epa.gov/burnwise. Keep your stove venting well with regular chimney sweeping.
