How Doctor Flue Goes Green in Business
We have taken several steps to make our business practices as environmentally friendly as possible, including:
- Going Paperless-At Doctor Flue, we use 1GB thumb drives to store our customer and product information, which helps our company eliminate the use of excess paper. We also provide our customers with thumb drives that include digital formats of all photos and videos we take during inspections and fireplace upgrades.
- Sprinter Vans- Doctor Flue has replaced all of our old work vehicles with new vans that get 16-20 miles to the gallon, which is up from 10 miles per gallon on our previous vans. The Sprinter vans also have clean burning, 3.0L diesel engines with lower emissions and their rear storage square footage allows us to haul more merchandise and equipment at one time. The Sprinter van also produces less waste oil, enabling us to go 10,000 miles between oil changes rather than 3,000.
